Overview

The Hinterhaus welcomes applications from emerging, early and mid-career artists working across visual arts, painting, sculpture, installation and interdisciplinary practices.

We seek artists driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a willingness to explore new directions in their work.

The Artist Residency encourages dialogue and exchange between artists while respecting the independence and concentration required for individual artistic practice.

Application Requirements

Applications must be submitted in English or German, including the following materials:

• Portfolio or website presenting recent work (last 2–3 years recommended)
• CV
• Short artist statement
• Brief description of the work or research you would like to develop during the residency
• Preferred Artist Residency duration and availability period
• Social media or additional documentation of recent projects (optional)

Applications are reviewed based on the strength of the artistic practice and the relevance of the proposed Artist Residency period.

Selection Process
